Terms of Service
Last updated July 8, 2026.
Important. No tax, legal, or accounting advice.
Tidy and the company behind it do not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice, and nothing in the app or on this website should be treated as such advice. Any valuations, totals, summaries, or exports that Tidy produces are estimates for informational and organizational purposes only. They may not reflect the fair market value accepted by any tax authority. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the figures you report. Always consult your own qualified accountant or tax professional before relying on any information from Tidy for a tax return, deduction, or any other financial or legal decision.
This is a simple starter Terms of Service for Tidy. Please review it with your own legal counsel before launch. It is a starting point, not final legal text. By using Tidy you agree to these terms.
1. Using Tidy
Tidy is a decluttering companion that helps you sort your home and keep a record of items you donate, sell, or toss. You agree to use Tidy only for lawful purposes and to provide accurate information.
2. Estimates and valuations
Tidy may suggest or let you record estimated values for items. These estimates are provided as a convenience to help you stay organized. They are not appraisals and are not guaranteed to be accurate or acceptable to any tax authority. Please re-read the disclaimer above. Confirm every figure with your own tax professional.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of the data you add to Tidy, such as items, photos, and notes. You grant us the permission needed to store and display that content back to you so we can provide the service.
4. Beta software
Tidy is currently in beta. Features may change, break, or disappear, and data may occasionally be lost. We provide the beta on an as-is basis and appreciate your patience and feedback.
5. Disclaimer of warranties
Tidy is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any estimate it produces is accurate.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tidy and its makers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any tax penalties, interest, or disallowed deductions resulting from figures you reported. This reinforces the disclaimer above. Consult your own accountant or tax professional.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Tidy means you accept the updated terms.
